My name is 1LT Jason Secrest and I have been appointed Cadet Programs Officer for Group 2. Many of you will see me and be able to talk me when I inspect your home units. I welcome any questions regarding issues in the cadet program either by e-mail or phone.

My contact information is as follows:

799 Glendale Rd.
York, PA 17403
H 717-845-1501
W 717-938-3801 (Su/Wed 1800-0600)

In order to facilitate CAC participation, I am going to hold the first CAC meeting in cyberspace. With the proliferation of technology, more cadets should be able to meet for the meetings and discussions online instead of having to drive to an appointed place.

http://clubs.snap.com/pawggroup2cadetprograms is the address for the Group 2 Cadet Programs Area. This is on Snap.com. It requires persons wishing to use the chat room to become members. It only takes a minute to fill out the necessary information. It is free to use and has e-mail, a discussion forum, chat, and a bulletin board.

The next step after this virtual meeting will be a face to face meeting at a date to be announced.

In addition, as of 1 April 00, all current squadron CAC appointments will be considered revoked. Each CAC term, according to CAP regulations is to be for one year. I will be wiping the slate clean and start with 1 April as the beginning date for the one year term. Squadron commanders will need to create new Form 2A's appointing or reappointing primary and alternate representatives to the CAC.

The following squadrons who will need to resubmit new 2A's to LT Russell NLT 25 March are: 301, 302, 304, 306, 307, 401, 1202, 1302, 1303, 1504. In addition to to the 2A's, please include a sheet with the contact information for these two cadets (phone numbers, e-mail, mailing address) so that a directory of representatives can be compiled.

All Primary & Alternate Representatives to CAC must hold the grade of C/SSGT and have completed Encampment. The Vice-Chairman must be at least a company grade cadet officer. The secretary must be at least a C/SSGT and have completed encampment. The Chairman must be a field grade cadet officer or higher.

More information about cadet activities in the group will be coming by e-mail in the future.

Thank you for your attention.

Jason Secrest
1LT, CAP
